Caladiums grown from bulbs and tubers and as such, have an active growth period of 7-8 months, then a stagnant period where the bulb needs to rest + refresh before growing anew [trim off any remaining foliage and store the bulbs in a cool, dry place during this lull]. Nature is so cool.
